 FROM THE  EAST

From I-690 South Traveling North

Take Route I-690 West to  Exit 6, NY 695 S  and follow the signs to  NY-5 W  Auburn 

 Follow NY-5 W to Ike Dixon Road

Take a right hand turn onto Ike Dixon Road.

 FROM THE WEST

From  New York State Thruway Exit 39 Warner’s, NY

Take I 690 South/East towards Syracuse to 695 S Exit 6 entitled Lakeland, Auburn

Take NY 695 S  and follow the signage to NY-5W  Auburn  

Follow NY-5 W  to Ike Dixon Road

Take a right hand turn onto Ike Dixon Road.


PARKING FOR ALL RACE PARTICIPANTS IS AVAILABLE COMMENCING AT 6 AM  OCTOBER 3RD 2015.   ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO PARK AT CAMILLUS MIDDLE SCHOOL LOCATED AT 5525 IKE DIXON ROAD #1 CAMILLUS NY 13031. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE BUSED TO AND FROM  GILLIE PARK. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY TO ALLOW FOR A TEN MINUTE LOADING AND TRANSPORT TO THE PARK.


IKE DIXON ROAD WILL BE LIMITED TO LOCAL  TRAFFIC THE MORNING OF THE RACE COMMENCING AT 6:30A.M.


ALL ORGANIZATION AND TEAM TENT SET UP THIS FRIDAY OCTOBER 2, 2015 !

DUE TO THE LACK OF PARKING AT THE SITE, EACH ORGANIZATION AND TEAM IS URGED TO PERFORM THEIR TENT SET THE DAY BEFORE THE RACE. THE PARK WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TENT SET UP FROM NOON UNTIL 6:30PM ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 2ND 2015. MEMBERS OF THE RACE COMMITTEE WILL BE AT THE PARK TO ASSIST WITH DIRECTING EACH ORGANIZATION TO THEIR ASSIGNED LOCATION.

 
 
A Run for THEIR Life is the only Breast Cancer Run held in Syracuse, New York whose proceeds go directly to SUNY Upstate Medical University Cancer Research Department

Young and old of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this event. A Run for THEIR Life intends to encourage a competitive spirit in each category of participation including: Businesses, health care centers, schools and other organizations.

When registering for this event please identify your organization or team that you will be competing with. Individual competitors are welcome.

The 15k run, 5K run and walk will commence at 9:10 am. The 1.5 k Victory Walk start time is TBD. This event will be held the morning of October 3,2015 at The Camillus Veterans Memorial Park, also known as Gillie Lake. Same day registration is available commencing at 7 am; closing at 8:15 am,

The 1.5 K Victory Walk is for persons who may want to contribute in raising funds to find a cure for breast cancer but who may not be able to run or walk a significant distance. This race is designed for participants who may  utilize wheel chair assistance. Mom’s with strollers or those that may want to walk less than a mile are also welcome in this effort to assist us in fighting this terrible disease.  Everyone is invited to participate. The fee for the Victory Walk is $35.00 per participant. If there is an assistant needed to help with a wheelchair participant this person would be a walk entry and would be charged an additional $ 15.00 and must also register for the race.

The event includes a 1.5 k Victory Walk,  5k walk and run and a 15k run. There will be a social area for organizational and team tents. Please register for a tent location for your organization/team as soon as possible since the slots fill up fast. There is no charge for your organization/team to place a tent in the assigned location.

A Team format of businesses, schools and organizations will compete for prizes and awards Team awards will include: Most participants on a team, and most Team funds raised.

Individual prizes will be given out for both races for Men’s and Women’s overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish and most funds raised. Prizes will also be given to 1st place in each age and gender group as well.
